Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Handy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Kofhal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Kofhal!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Handy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kofhal slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kofhal striking off his back.
Kofhal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Handy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kofhal is trying to keep Handy in close.

Handy gets to his feet. Kofhal looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kofhal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Handy pinned against the cage. Handy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Handy feints and as Kofhal raises his hands in defense, Handy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Handy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kofhal has his hands on Handy's head, controlling the position.
Handy tries to free his leg and advance position but Kofhal is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Handy is working hard here to advance position.
Handy is breathing heavily.

Kofhal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kofhal shoots in and drives through. Handy sprawls well.
Handy shoots in for a double leg but Kofhal sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kofhal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hammer Handy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Kofhal.
Handy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Handy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kofhal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kofhal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Handy paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Handy closes the distance looking for a takedown. Kofhal stuffs it but Handy still has hold of him. Handy picks Kofhal up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Handy slams Kofhal to the floor and that's really hurt Kofhal - he doesn't know where he is! Handy throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
