Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Flower lady- jerky boys. Paul Harris has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Haigh.
Haigh looks to throw the jab but Harris is out of range.
Harris shoots in but no luck this time.
Haigh loads up on a big right hand but Harris slips the punch.

Harris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haigh sprawls well initially but Harris persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Haigh is refusing to be controlled, as Harris sits in half guard.
Harris tries to pass the half guard into mount. Haigh knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Harris seems to be looking for submissions.

Haigh makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Harris throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Haigh misses with a hook. Harris ducked under it nicely.
Harris throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Haigh counter with a right hand.
Haigh looks to throw the jab but Harris is out of range.
Horrible takedown by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Haigh which made him look bad.

Harris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Harris tries to clinch up but Haigh circles away and keeps his distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Harris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Haigh.

Harris scores with a one two! Haigh had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

John Haigh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harris moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Harris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Haigh avoids it really well and circles away.
Haigh moves out of range of the body kick from Harris.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Haigh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Harris - the referee stops the clock and Haigh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Harris. Haigh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Haigh might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Harris will probably get the nod.

Harris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haigh manages to avoid it.

Harris gets a double leg takedown into Haigh's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Haigh has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Harris should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Haigh has tightened it up now! Harris should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
