The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frota misses with the combination.
Frota listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Frota throws a leg kick but Bedorf moved away.
Frota looks to score with a jab to the body but Bedorf is just out of range.
Bedorf slips a jab from Frota.
Frota misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Frota, right into the meat.
A right-left combo lands from Frota.
Frota could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bedorf avoids a punch combination nicely.
Frota throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bedorf.
Frota bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Frota fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Frota displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bedorf throws out the jab.
Frota misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Good work by Bedorf as he checks the leg kick.
No joy there for Frota, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bedorf thows a left - swing and a miss!
Frota displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bedorf throws out the jab.
Frota avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Frota shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bedorf eats them both and turns towards Frota to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bedorf moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Frota goes down! Can Bedorf finish him!?

Frota is rocked!

It looks like Augusto Frota has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bedorf pushes down on Frota's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Oh Frota is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bedorf is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frota is just riding it out for now. Bedorf eventually gives up the hold.

Bedorf seems to be working for a kimura but Frota defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bedorf is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bedorf looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
