Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcellas Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Fr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcellas Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tomasz Fr!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Wallace misses.
Fr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wallace counters with a stiff right hand.
Fr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wallace counters by moving into the clinch.
Wallace lands a left hand that snaps the head of Fr backwards.

Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fr misses with a takedown attempt

so Wallace counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Marcellas Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Fr.

Wallace thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between Fr's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wallace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wallace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wallace is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Fr is looking for a triangle but Wallace pushes his legs off easily.

Wallace is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Fr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wallace scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wallace slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wallace is working Fr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Fr keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully.

Wallace postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Wallace drops back looking for a leg! Fr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fr manages to kick Wallace off! Wallace jumps back into Fr's guard.
Wallace passes Fr's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Fr is defending against the submission attempts here by Wallace.

Wallace is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fr is trying to maintain the position but Wallace is very close to passing his half guard.

Wallace is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fr defends it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wallace drops an elbow to the side of Fr's head.
Wallace wants to pass to mount but Fr is defending the position.
Fr wants to get back to full guard.
Wallace is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Fr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wallace is working away from the top position though.

Wallace decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Fr fails with the takedown

and Wallace counters with a shoot takedown. Fr fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wallace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fr on the ground.

Wallace stands and steps away. Fr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcellas Wallace dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Fr with a lazy takedown attempt

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fr won't be happy with that.
Fr is trying to get back to half guard.
Wallace is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fr will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Wallace tries for a kimura but Fr is defending well.

Fr is breathing heavily.

Wallace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fr is looking to reverse the position.

Wallace has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Fr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace regains half guard.
Wallace on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wallace tries to get out of the position.
Wallace moves into full guard.
Wallace pulls Fr in close to his closed guard and prevents Fr from doing any damage or advancing position.

Wallace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wallace wants to sweep here but Fr controlling him for the moment.
Fr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fr drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wallace dives on top into guard.

Wallace drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Wallace seems to have locked his on tight now - Fr screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Wallace, as he picks up the win!
