Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cub Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herp Derp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Derp drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Swanson dives on top into guard.

Swanson is trying to drag Derp to the mat but Derp just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Swanson is looking to break free of the clinch but Derp has double underhooks.
Derp fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Derp prevents Swanson from breaking the clinch.
Derp has Swanson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Swanson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Derp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Swanson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Derp swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swanson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Derp is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
