Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Naboki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johny Naboki!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Naboki.
Naboki slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones wants to clinch but Naboki slips to the side
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones takes a kick to the side of the head.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jones as Naboki tries to tie him up.
Naboki prevents a body shot from Jones.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jones just misses with a elbow thrown towards Naboki's brow.
Naboki is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Naboki breaks from the clinch.
Jones tries to clinch there but Naboki circles away.
Jones swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Naboki counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Naboki circles away from the clinch attempt
and Naboki counters with a nice uppercut.

Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Naboki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Naboki has taken the fight to the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Naboki.

Jones pulls guard.

Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Naboki is aware though and is defending well.
Naboki prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.

Naboki wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johny Naboki was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jones throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Naboki throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Johny Naboki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Naboki tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Naboki loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.

Jones has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Naboki.
Jones is looking to clinch but Naboki is avoiding it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Naboki.
Naboki circles away from the clinch attempt
and Naboki counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Naboki tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones swinging wildly here.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Naboki counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee.
Jones looks to clinch
and Naboki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Naboki sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Jones to the ground! Naboki dives into full mount looking to finish!


Jones is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Naboki cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Naboki working for a submission but Jones is keeping him at bay.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Naboki landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Naboki dominated that round.
That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Naboki paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Naboki blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A knee to the head by Naboki.

Jones breaks from the clinch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Naboki, right into the meat.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Naboki digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs.

Naboki clinches up against the cage.
Jones lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A bit of stalling here from Naboki.
Jones lands a shoulder strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Naboki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Johny Naboki seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Naboki misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Naboki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Naboki lands with a nice body punch.

Naboki lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jones tries to clinch but Naboki is having none of it.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Gary Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones dodges the punch combination from Naboki.
Gary Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones tries to clinch there but Naboki circles away.

and Naboki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Naboki counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!


It looks like Gary Jones has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land.
Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Naboki uses good head movement to avoid it.
Naboki dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Naboki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Naboki misses the target.

Jones gets a double leg takedown into Naboki's guard.

Naboki is controlling Jones's posture.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Naboki is proving hard to escape from.

Naboki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Naboki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.
Naboki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gary Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Naboki tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Naboki to the ground. Naboki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones tries to stall but Naboki uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gary Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Naboki tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Naboki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Naboki controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jones wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Naboki uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Jones wants to stand but Naboki is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Naboki, up you get!
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Naboki moves away.
Jones tries to clinch but Naboki moves out of range.
Johny Naboki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jones misses with a takedown attempt
and Naboki counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Naboki moves into range and clinches up with Jones.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gary Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Naboki counters with a body kick that stops Jones in his tracks momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gary Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Naboki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
