Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Firus Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Fuel-Hemorrhage. Savage has chosen Bon Jovi - It's my life as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Firus Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackson Savage!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Williams.
Williams with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Williams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Savage.
Williams lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Savage backs up against the cage.
Savage moves out of range of the body kick from Williams.
Savage misses with a head kick.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Savage moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Williams fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Savage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Savage looking to control but instead Williams has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Williams is not content to let Savage control the position.

Savage is looking for a kimura here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jackson Savage hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Savage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Savage somewhat.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Firus Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Savage drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. Savage does a little dance to reset his feet.

Williams clinches with his opponent.
Williams throws a head punch that misses.
Williams lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Savage blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Savage jumps guard but Williams stands there with Savage around his waist. Savage gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Savage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Williams throws an elbow that misses. Savage uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Savage!

Savage looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Williams passes into half guard.
Savage trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Williams has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Savage's face.
Savage sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Firus Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Savage takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Savage tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.
Williams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Savage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Savage is stalling here. Williams is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Savage seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Williams has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Williams looks up at the clock and then as Savage takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Williams smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
