Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Lloyed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Quim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josh Lloyed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Quim!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyed delivers a nice body kick.
Lloyed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Quim defends it nicely.
Quim stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lloyed.
A swing and a miss from Lloyed.
Quim throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lloyed sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Quim misses the shot to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quim swings wildly with an uppercut but Lloyed uses good head movement to avoid it.
Quim misses with some punches.
Lloyed lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Lloyed lands an elbow inside.
Lloyed will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Quim up against the cage.
Quim tries to circle away but Lloyed has him pinned against the cage.

Lloyed trying to land knees to the body.
Quim misses with a punch on the inside.
Quim lands a hook to the side of the head.
Quim is trying to stall.
Quim swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Quim tries to break free but Lloyed pushes him back against the cage.
Quim lands with a right to the head.
Lloyed presses Quim against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Quim takes an elbow to the forehead.
Lloyed lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Quim takes a knee to the side of the body.
Lloyed lands an elbow that stopped Quim in his tracks for a moment.

Quim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lloyed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Quim moves out of range as Lloyed strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quim just misses with a punch to the body.
Lloyed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lloyed throws a lazy right hand but Quim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lloyed looks for the body kick but Quim saw that one coming.
Jimmy Quim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lloyed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Quim moves out of range of the body kick from Lloyed.
Lloyed throws a jab when Quim was well out of range.
Lloyed ducks right into an uppercut from Quim.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lloyed. Quim does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lloyed connects with a jab.
Lloyed misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Quim connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lloyed throws a head kick that Quim semi-blocks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Lloyed does no damage.
Lloyed slips under a jab from Quim.
Lloyed lands with a cross.
Josh Lloyed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lloyed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lloyed throws the left hand but Quim avoids the punch easily.
Lloyed thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Quim if he has to take too many more of those.
Lloyed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Quim counters with a nice uppercut.
A punch combination from Lloyed misses.
Quim throws a hook but Lloyed avoids it easily.
Lloyed throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Lloyed throws a lazy head kick
and Quim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lloyed gets a clinch.
Quim blocks a body shot from Lloyed.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quim takes a shot to the head.
Quim can't break the clinch.
Quim is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lloyed misses with a hook to the ribs.
Quim is looking to break free of the clinch but Lloyed has double underhooks.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lloyed takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Quim looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quim is looking for a takedown.
Lloyed lands a good knee to the midsection. Quim won't want to take too many of those.
Lloyed lands a right hand that snaps the head of Quim backwards.
Quim is looking to break free of the clinch but Lloyed has double underhooks.
Lloyed scores with a nice hook to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lloyed utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Lloyed unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Lloyed throws a knee to the head but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Lloyed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A combination from Quim does no damage.
Josh Lloyed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lloyed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Quim manages to avoid it.

Lloyed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lloyed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Quim is trying to stand.
Quim is trying to escape the mount.
Lloyed is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Quim can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Quim keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Lloyed is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Quim is surviving well by controlling Lloyed's body position as best he can.
Quim is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Lloyed working the ground and pound effectively.

Lloyed prevents Quim from getting the reversal.
Lloyed with good strikes from the mount here!
Lloyed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lloyed punching from mount but Quim doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Lloyed swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Quim is now in Lloyed's guard. A big mistake from Lloyed there, giving up the dominant position!
Lloyed keeping moving, preventing Quim from controlling successfully.
Quim throws an elbow that misses. Lloyed uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Quim's guard. Nice move by Lloyed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lloyed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lloyed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lloyed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lloyed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lloyed drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Quim manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lloyed has Quim in his guard.
Quim with a flurry of punches that miss.
Quim would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Quim wants to control from the top but Lloyed keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Quim trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lloyed's guard.
Lloyed controlling Quim's posture.
Quim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Quim trying to control but Lloyed is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jimmy Quim.
Lloyed lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quim circles away quickly and effectively.

Quim fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lloyed on the side of the head.
Quim throws a low kick, looking for Lloyed's leg but Lloyed calmly moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lloyed.
Quim misses with the combination.
Lloyed throws a chopping leg kick but Quim manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Quim misses with an uppercut. Lloyed saw that one coming.
A combination from Quim does no damage.
Lloyed tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lloyed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Quim misses with a few strikes there.
Lloyed slips a jab and a cross from Quim.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Lloyed throws a head kick but Quim moves out of range.
Lloyed misses the jab.
Lloyed misses with a double jab.
Quim slips a jab and a cross from Lloyed.
Quim misses with a hook. Lloyed ducked under it nicely.
Quim avoids the head kick by Lloyed.
Quim throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lloyed makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Quim really felt that one!

Lloyed darts in and clinches Quim up against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lloyed.
Lloyed landing knees to the body.
A shot in the inside from Lloyed.
Lloyed keeps control of Quim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lloyed using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Quim is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

A head punch on the inside from Quim fails to land.
Quim wants a takedown but no success here.
Lloyed lands a nice elbow.
Quim has Lloyed pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lloyed manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Quim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Quim is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lloyed pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Josh Lloyed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Quim.

Quim has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Quim is trying to drag Lloyed to the mat but Lloyed just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lloyed jumps guard and drags Quim to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Lloyed has his hands on Quim's head, controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Josh Lloyed wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Lloyed swinging wildly here.

A big left from Quim misses.
Quim leaves Lloyed with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Quim swats away the attempt to clinch by Lloyed.
Quim throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lloyed bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Quim's head.
Lloyed scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Quim throws a shot to the body.
Quim slips a jab and a cross from Lloyed.
Quim misses with an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quim will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Quim lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lloyed has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lloyed and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A bone on bone clash there as Quim blocks the leg kick.
Lloyed misses with a hook. Quim ducked under it nicely.
Lloyed scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lloyed throws a hook but Quim blocks it.
Lloyed misses with a lunging right hand
and Quim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lloyed misses with an uppercut
and Quim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lloyed throws a one two combo.
Josh Lloyed is winning the standup battle so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quim pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Josh Lloyed showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lloyed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
