Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Jammin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gohan Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Jammin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gohan Son!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Son fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jammin to the ground. Son is now in Jammin's guard.
Son throwing strikes but missing.
Jammin doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Son pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jammin is keeping the position for now.
Jammin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Son.
Son wants to pass the guard but Jammin is keeping the position.
Jammin is looking to sweep but instead, Son has passed into half guard.
Jammin is looking to control Son's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jammin avoid being mounted?
Son passes the guard and advances to mount!
Son fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Son prevents Jammin from getting the reversal.
Son lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jammin hang on?
Jammin is looking to improve his position but Son isn't that keen on the idea.
Son putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Jammin wants to control but Son is having none of it.
Son with a couple of short strikes.

Jammin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Son.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Son cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Son controlling the pace for now.

Son working the ground and pound effectively.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Son is working for a guillotine from mount but Jammin frees his head quite easily.

Jammin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Son is taking a breather. Jammin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Son looks winded!
Jammin is looking for a sweep. Son is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Son misses with a head shot. Jammin uses the momentum to regain guard.
Son must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Son is looking to work some ground and pound but Jammin has wrist control.
Son really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jammin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jammin is wriggling around but Son manages to pass to half guard.
Jammin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Son is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Son thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Son tries to pass to full mount but Jammin defends it.

Jammin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Son is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jammin is trying to control but Son passes into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gohan Son dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice sprawl there from Son as Jammin shoots in.
Both fighters circling a little - Jammin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Son has Jammin up against the cage in a clinch.
Son swings wildly with an uppercut but Jammin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jammin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Son just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Son tightens his grip and picks Jammin up, before dumping him to the ground. Jammin manages to land in guard.
Son postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gohan Son has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jammin trying to keep a closed guard but Son is proving a slippery customer.
Son working some strikes from top position.

Son is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jammin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Son is looking to defend but Jammin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Son! Jammin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Son taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ben Jammin!
