The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backstrom shoots for a takedown but Chambers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chambers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Backstrom wants to control but Chambers is keeping busy.
Backstrom tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chambers has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Chambers avoids the attempt from Backstrom to control.
Chambers looking to secure an arm triangle but Backstrom defends it well.
Chambers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Backstrom is surviving well by controlling Chambers's body position as best he can.
