The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortunado shoots in and drives through. Goldman sprawls well.
Goldman dives in and grabs Fortunado's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fortunado pushes down on Goldman's head and hops out.
Fortunado tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goldman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fortunado somewhat.
Goldman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fortunado avoids it really well and circles away.
Goldman digs a good body shot into Fortunado's ribs.
Goldman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goldman wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donzel Fortunado. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Goldman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fortunado's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fortunado is desperately trying to improve his position but Goldman has a good base and remains in mount.
