Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Italo Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lands with a shot to the body.

Diaz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hugo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hugo moves into full mount! Diaz won't be happy about that!

It looks like Hugo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Hugo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Italo Hugo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hugo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Diaz's shoulder. That is not cool.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Italo Hugo wasn't active enough on the ground.
