PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duane Dube (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Duane Dube has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Duane Dube seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dube shoots in for a takedown but Perry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dube tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perry swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Perry moves out of range as Dube throws a body kick.
Dube tries to close the distance and clinch but Perry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Perry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dube wants to clinch up but Perry keeps it at a distance.

Perry shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dube manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perry decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dube, up you get!
Dube is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dube misses with a takedown attempt

and Perry counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Perry decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Perry checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Dube misses with a head kick.
Perry stuffs the takedown attempt from Dube. Dube gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duane Dube. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry dodges the punch combination from Dube.

and Perry counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dube won't be happy with that.
Perry lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dube down.

Perry has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dube is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Perry yanks on the arm and Dube is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Perry.
