Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage tries to clinch up but Polo circles away and keeps his distance.
Polo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Polo is trying to control the action in half guard but Rage is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rage looking for submissions off his back.
Rage flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Polo wants to stand but Rage has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Rage slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Polo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Polo wants to control from the top but Rage keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rage can do anything to dispel that myth.

Polo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rage is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rage defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Polo.
Rage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Polo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rage napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Polo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Polo throws a strike aimed at the side of Rage's head but Rage avoids it well.

Polo shoots in and drives through. Rage sprawls well.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Polo is defended easily by Rage.
Rage wants to clinch up but Polo keeps it at a distance.

Rage thuds his right hand into Polo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Polo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rage slips a jab and a cross from Polo.
Polo clinches.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Rage as Polo tries to tie him up.
Rage tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Polo avoids it.
Rage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Polo walks away with a smile on his face. Rage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Polo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A punch combination from Polo misses.

Rage throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rage swings for the body but Polo moves out of range.
Xander Rage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rage avoids the head kick by Polo.
Polo shoots in and drives through. Rage sprawls well.
Rage clinches.
Polo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Polo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rage gets a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rage is trying to break free.
Polo softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Polo has Rage pressed against the cage, preventing Rage from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Polo is looking for a takedown.
A hook to the body from Rage.
Polo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rage misses with a body punch.

Rage wants to get back to striking at distance but Polo won't allow it.
Rage can't break the clinch.
Polo blocks a body shot from Rage.
Rage wants to break free but Polo has control.
Polo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rage pulls guard successfully.
Rage is adopting a defensive guard.
Polo trying to control the position from guard on top but Rage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rage is on top in guard.

Rage won't allow Polo to sweep him here.
Polo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Polo pulls Rage in close to his closed guard and prevents Rage from doing any damage or advancing position.
Rage slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Polo.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Polo trying to hold on to Rage's head to control him but Rage postures up.
Polo tries to get to full guard but Rage has control of the leg.

Rage thows a huge punch but Polo dodges it nicely.
Polo is not content to let Rage control the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rage uses his free foot to push down on Polo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Polo.
Rage wants to control the pace but Polo is squirming around nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Polo is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Xander Rage.
I think Rage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
