Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mac Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Washington is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: TNT. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Washington on the side of the head.
Washington takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jackson is looking to clinch.
Washington connects with a jab.
Jackson lands with a shot to the body.
Jackson wants to clinch.
That kick from Washington tenderised Jackson's leg. Jackson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Washington misses with a low kick as Jackson jumps back.
Jackson delivers a nice body kick.
Washington tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jackson is able to avoid easily.

Washington is trying to force a seperation but Jackson has the dominant position.

Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jackson has Washington up against the cage in a clinch.

Washington gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jackson regains guard.

Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Washington trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Samuel Washington hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Washington throws a jab when Jackson was well out of range.
Mac Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Washington scores with the left hand. Jackson knows he should have avoided that one.
Jackson is looking to clinch.
Washington throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Washington paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Washington.

Washington misses with an uppercut. Jackson saw that one coming.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Jackson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Washington dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jackson. That did some damage!
Washington moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jackson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Washington is just out of range.
Washington takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Washington scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Washington tries to work over Jackson's front leg with a kick but Jackson checks it.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Washington is avoiding it.
Washington looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range.
Washington shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Washington throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it.

Washington slips a straight right by Jackson.
Jackson is looking to wear down Washington with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Washington defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Samuel Washington will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jackson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Oooooh!!! Jackson has knocked Washington down with a huge combo! Jackson steps away and waves a wobbly Washington back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Samuel Washington has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson tests Washington's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Washington is rocked!
Washington looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jackson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Washington. Jackson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mac Jackson!

A very excited looking Mac Jackson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
