The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wes as he avoids it easily.
Nice shot lands for Wes.
Kruger moves out of range as Wes throws a body kick.
Nice jab there from Wes.
Kruger shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wes defends it nicely.
The fighters circling - Wes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wes scores with a jab. Kruger acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kruger slips a jab and a cross from Wes.
Wes misses with a looping right.
Wes throws out a loose jab but Kruger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wes throws a jab when Kruger was well out of range.
Wes misses the shot to the body.
Wes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Kruger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wes won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wes is trying to buck Kruger off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kruger lands a nice forearm strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kruger has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Kruger has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kruger yanks on the arm and Wes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kruger.
