Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martti Nakutin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Stepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stepp has chosen Wherever I May Roam as his entrance music. Steven Stepp will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martti Nakutin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steven Stepp!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakutin throws a series of punches but Stepp moves out of range.
Stepp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nakutin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stepp thinking.
Stepp shoots in and drives through. Nakutin sprawls well.
Stepp tries for a takedown but Nakutin circles away easily
and Nakutin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Martti Nakutin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Stepp.
Nakutin looks to land a combination. Stepp sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Steven Stepp has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nakutin stuffs the takedown attempt from Stepp. Stepp gets slowly back to his feet.
Stepp shoots and misses

and Nakutin counters with a head kick that drops Stepp to the mat! Stepp scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Nakutin tries a head kick but it misses.
Stepp is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nakutin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Stepp.

Stepp closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Stepp and the ref steps in to end the fight! Stepp can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
