Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Grzegorz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun Abbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Abbot. No joy for Grzegorz on that attempt.
Grzegorz closes the distance and clinches up with Abbot, looking for a takedown. Grzegorz pushes Abbot against the cage but Abbot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Abbot feints and as Grzegorz raises his hands in defense, Abbot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abbot is pushing down on Grzegorz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Grzegorz is fighting to maintain full guard but Abbot has managed to sneak the leg through.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grzegorz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Abbot asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Abbot has eaten all the pies!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Let's hope that Abbot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Abbot is taking a breather. Grzegorz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
