These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinzner walks into a stiff left hand from Lanastar.
Lanastar throws the left hand but Pinzner avoids the punch easily.

Lanastar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pinzner manages to avoid it.
Pinzner moves out of range of the strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lanastar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lanastar throws a lazy right hand but Pinzner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pinzner fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lanastar on the side of the head.

It looks like Werner Pinzner has been cut.

Pinzner drops Lanastar with a beautiful combination! Lanastar stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pinzner is looking for the KO!

Lanastar is rocked!
Pinzner throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Lanastar's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Pinzner dives in looking to finish as Lanastar flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Pinzner's strikes! Pinzner is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lanastar's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lanastar was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
