Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Pikachoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Roussimoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Pikachoo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Roussimoff!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roussimoff wants to clinch up but Pikachoo keeps it at a distance.
Pikachoo keeps the fight on the outside.
Pikachoo tries to clinch but Roussimoff is having none of it.

Roussimoff shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pikachoo wants to improve his position but Roussimoff is controlling well.
Pikachoo tries to kick Roussimoff off but Roussimoff keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Roussimoff thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pikachoo's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roussimoff is taking a breather. Pikachoo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pikachoo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roussimoff is working away from the top position though.

Roussimoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pikachoo keeps working.

Roussimoff is looking for a kimura but Pikachoo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roussimoff to get the leverage.

Pikachoo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pikachoo.
Roussimoff would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Roussimoff wants to control from the top but Pikachoo keeps moving.

Pikachoo is staying active underneath Roussimoff, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Roussimoff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pikachoo tries for a takedown but Roussimoff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pikachoo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pikachoo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Roussimoff sprawls well. Roussimoff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pikachoo gets slowly back to his feet.
Pikachoo shoots for a double leg takedown but Roussimoff sprawls well. He's pushed Pikachoo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Pikachoo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Roussimoff turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Roussimoff manages to end up in side control.
Pikachoo is looking for a sweep.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Roussimoff shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pikachoo as he jumps to the side.

Pikachoo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Roussimoff's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Roussimoff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pikachoo on his heels. He'll look to pass Pikachoo's guard now, I'm sure.
