Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cacareco Chuteboxe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordan Mutch!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutch is looking to clinch but Chuteboxe is avoiding it.
No joy there for Mutch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mutch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A big right from Mutch misses.
Mutch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chuteboxe.
Mutch looks to land a right hand but Chuteboxe moved out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice takedown defense from Mutch. No joy for Chuteboxe on that attempt.
Chuteboxe shoots in but no luck this time.
Mutch looks to throw the jab but Chuteboxe is out of range.

Chuteboxe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chuteboxe showed some decent athleticism there.
Chuteboxe winds up and cracks Mutch with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mutch is looking to control Chuteboxe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mutch avoid being mounted?
Mutch controlling the position for now.
Mutch trying to control but Chuteboxe postures up.

Mutch kicks off Chuteboxe and gets to his feet.
Mutch looks to throw the jab but Chuteboxe is out of range.
Mutch misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chuteboxe.
Chuteboxe drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Chuteboxe moves away from the strike by Mutch.
Chuteboxe shoots for a double leg takedown but Mutch sprawls well. He's pushed Chuteboxe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cacareco Chuteboxe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mutch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chuteboxe manages to avoid it.
Mutch has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chuteboxe.
Mutch throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chuteboxe on the side of the head.
Chuteboxe shoots in but Mutch avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chuteboxe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mutch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mutch.
Jordan Mutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chuteboxe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chuteboxe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mutch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chuteboxe has a takedown stuffed.
Mutch tries a head kick but it misses.
Mutch connects with a jab.
Mutch misses with a hook. Chuteboxe ducked under it nicely.
Mutch fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chuteboxe shoots and misses
and Mutch counters with a head kick.
Mutch throws an overhand right that lands on Chuteboxe's shoulder, as Chuteboxe tries to avoid the shot.
Mutch might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Mutch throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Chuteboxe's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mutch dives in looking to finish as Chuteboxe flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mutch's strikes! Mutch is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Chuteboxe's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Chuteboxe was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
