The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales throws a low kick but Rynkowski moves out of range easily.
Gonzales thows a body shot but no joy.
Gonzales swats away the attempt to clinch by Rynkowski.
Gonzales swings for the body but Rynkowski moves out of range.
Gonzales scores with a push kick.
Gonzales missing with a left hand there. Rynkowski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gonzales throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rynkowski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gonzales lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gonzales connects with a right hand. Rynkowski shakes it off.
Rynkowski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gonzales as he jumps to the side.
Rynkowski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gonzales.
Gonzales swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gonzales lands with an overhand left.
Rynkowski fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gonzales lands a big head kick that sends Rynkowski tumbling to the mat! Gonzales takes a step backwards and waves Rynkowski back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzales. Rynkowski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gonzales cracks Rynkowski with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rynkowski looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gonzales finish him?
That has opened up Ryszard Rynkowski's cut even more.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A left and a right from Rynkowski both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Stevie Gonzales has been cut.
Gonzales is looking to wear down Rynkowski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Rynkowski on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The cut above Ryszard Rynkowski's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rynkowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gonzales but Gonzales pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gonzales lands a glancing blow to the side of Rynkowski's head.

Rynkowski stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gonzales.
Gonzales misses with a hook
and Rynkowski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rynkowski shoots in for a double leg but Gonzales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stevie Gonzales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryszard Rynkowski.
Gonzales misses with a body punch
and Rynkowski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rynkowski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzales tries to avoid it but Rynkowski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzales to the ground. Gonzales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rynkowski takes one on the button.
Rynkowski is trying desperately to land a takedown but Gonzales is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rynkowski.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gonzales leaves Rynkowski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gonzales loads up on a big right hand but Rynkowski slips the punch.
Gonzales dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rynkowski looks winded!
Gonzales ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gonzales showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rynkowski.
Gonzales lands a really nice looking cross but Rynkowski seems unphased.
Ryszard Rynkowski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryszard Rynkowski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Stevie Gonzales!
After the fight, Stevie Gonzales was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
