Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slouth Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs misses with an attempted mid kick.
Thor throws a front kick that sends Hobbs stumbling back into the cage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thor.
Thor moves to clinch but Hobbs breaks away
and Thor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Slouth Thor has been cut.
Hobbs throws a hook but Thor avoids it easily.
Thor shoots for a takedown but Hobbs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hobbs throws the kick towards the body but Thor avoids it.
Hobbs paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hobbs lands with a straight right. Thor didn't see that one coming.
Hobbs misses with a lunging right hand
and Thor counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thor moves out of range of the strikes.

Thor drives through and clinches with Hobbs against the cage.
Hobbs lands with a light punch inside.

A nice right hand lands inside from Hobbs.
Thor misses with a punch on the inside.

Hobbs gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Thor regains guard.

Hobbs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hobbs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thor on the ground.
Hobbs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hobbs!

Hobbs suckers Thor into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Hobbs is now in Thor's guard!

Hobbs is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Thor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Thor is trying to keep Hobbs in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Thor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hobbs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Slouth Thor has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hobbs throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hobbs tries to clinch but Thor is having none of it.
Slouth Thor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hobbs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That has opened up Slouth Thor's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thor tries for a takedown but Hobbs circles away easily
and Hobbs makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Luke Hobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slouth Thor.
Hobbs swats away the attempt to clinch by Thor.
Thor moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hobbs lands a jab to the nose.
Thor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hobbs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thor somewhat.
Hobbs scores with a one two! Thor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hobbs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The cut above Slouth Thor's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hobbs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hobbs lands in his opponent's guard.
Hobbs wants to control from the top but Thor keeps moving.
Thor can't keep his opponent in guard - Hobbs advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Hobbs is nestled in close to Thor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hobbs landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Slouth Thor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
