The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongstad drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hlawma connects with a single shot there.
Kongstad tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hlawma swivels and escapes.
Hlawma thows a left - swing and a miss!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kongstad.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hlawma, as that shot connected.

Hlawma throws a looping overhand right but Kongstad ducks down to avoid it.
Oh Kongstad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hlawma misses with a looping left.
Hlawma throws an overhand right that lands on Kongstad's shoulder, as Kongstad tries to avoid the shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kongstad shoots for a takedown but Hlawma saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Kongstad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hlawma throws an overhand right that lands on Kongstad's shoulder, as Kongstad tries to avoid the shot.
Kongstad seems to have got his legs back now.
Hlawma cracks Kongstad with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

A thudding body kick lands there by Kongstad!
Hlawma throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kongstad's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Hlawma dives in looking to finish as Kongstad flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Hlawma's strikes! Hlawma is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kongstad's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kongstad was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
