Maivia wants to work for an arm triangle but Bill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Maivia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maivia.
Bill is looking for a sweep. Maivia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Maivia wants to work for an arm triangle but Bill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Maivia frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bill wants to hold on but Maivia pushes him away.
Bill might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Maivia kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Maivia is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bill can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
