Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Riviere Hinds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Brothers Johnson - Get The Funk Out Of My Face as his entrance music. John Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riviere Hinds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinds connects with an inside leg kick.
Johnson staying out of range there.
Hinds thows a left - swing and a miss!

Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hinds to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Johnson has momentary wrist control but Hinds slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hinds prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.

Hinds avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Johnson looking for subs off his back but Hinds has passed one foot through into half guard.

Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hinds with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Hinds thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
Hinds throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Johnson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hinds shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Hinds misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hinds moves away.
Hinds swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Hinds does a little dance to reset his feet.
Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Riviere Hinds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Hinds misses.
Hinds stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson avoids the head kick by Hinds.
Hinds throws a low kick, looking for Johnson's leg but Johnson calmly moves out of range.
Hinds slips under a jab from Johnson.
A cross from Johnson lands.
Hinds scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hinds steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
Hinds keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hinds.
Johnson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hinds lands a slapping body shot.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Hinds circles away.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hinds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johnson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hinds throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Johnson blocks the body kick.
Johnson throws the left hand but Hinds avoids the punch easily.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Hinds is out of range.
Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hinds counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johnson tries to clinch there but Hinds circles away.
Johnson checks a leg kick.
Hinds thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hinds misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Johnson.
A jab from Johnson misses.
Good work by Johnson as he checks the leg kick.
Johnson lands a glancing blow to the side of Hinds's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hinds defending well as Johnson loads up on a big left hand.
Hinds scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hinds keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johnson.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Hinds.
Hinds shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hinds connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hinds.
A telegraphed right hand from Hinds misses the target.
Hinds leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hinds throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hinds throws a shot to the body.
Hinds does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hinds manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riviere Hinds dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hinds doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hinds manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hinds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hinds slips nicely into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hinds lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hinds defends well.

Johnson is rocked!
Hinds not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hinds makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hinds arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Johnson's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Riviere Hinds!
