Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kadir Demir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demir's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Save the World. Mamed Khalidov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Demir.
Demir lands a jab.
Khalidov avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Khalidov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Decent striking displayed by Khalidov there.
Khalidov throws a sloppy head kick
and Demir counters with a thumping low kick.
Khalidov misses with a leg kick
and Demir counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khalidov missing with a left hand there. Demir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Demir is looking to land body kicks.

and Demir moves into the clinch.
Khalidov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Demir lands a left hand that snaps the head of Khalidov backwards.
Khalidov stops a takedown attempt from Demir.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Demir creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Demir keeps control of Khalidov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Demir gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Khalidov regains guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Kadir Demir has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Demir lands a really nice looking cross but Khalidov seems unphased.

Demir misses with a head kick.
Khalidov looks to score with a jab to the body but Demir is just out of range.
Mamed Khalidov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Demir throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Demir shoots in looking for a takedown. Khalidov tries to sprawl out of it but Demir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khalidov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Demir counters with a crisp one two that drops Khalidov! Demir thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Khalidov to his feet! Khalidov is in big trouble!

Khalidov is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Khalidov misses with an uppercut
and Demir counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Demir on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Horrible takedown by Demir or perhaps it was just good defense by Khalidov which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kadir Demir. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Demir is pawing at Khalidov, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Khalidov's nose. Khalidov is badly hurt! Demir pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Khalidov tries desperately to hold on but Demir is relentless in his assault! As Khalidov receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Demir away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kadir Demir!
Kadir Demir very nearly forgot to thank Vitality amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
