Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Parkachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross misses with a right hand
and Parkachev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Parkachev throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Parkachev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cross.
Parkachev defending well as Cross loads up on a big left hand.
Cross looks for a takedown but Parkachev sprawls well.
Cross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parkachev tries to avoid it but Cross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parkachev to the ground. Parkachev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cross shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Parkachev but Parkachev pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cross throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parkachev's waist but Parkachev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cross off to one side.

and Cross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Cross shoots in looking for a takedown. Parkachev tries to sprawl out of it but Cross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Parkachev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Parkachev feints a jab promting Cross to slip. Parkachev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cross slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Cross moves forwards but Parkachev connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cross shoots in but Parkachev avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cross doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Parkachev is looking to wear down Cross with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Cross takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Parkachev stuns Cross with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Cross drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cross lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Parkachev down.
Cross is chipping away with strikes.
Cross remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The strikes coming from Cross are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Parkachev is not content to let Cross control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cross tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Parkachev is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cross's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Parkachev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parkachev.

Cross is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cross throws a strike but Parkachev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Parkachev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cross is striking but Parkachev is not phased and passes to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parkachev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cross keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cross is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Parkachev tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Cross.

Parkachev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cross is looking to control Parkachev's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cross avoid being mounted?

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vladimir Parkachev will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Oooooh!!! Parkachev has knocked Cross down with a huge combo! Parkachev steps away and waves a wobbly Cross back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Parkachev connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Cross tumbling to the canvas! Parkachev pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Cross was done - good stoppage!

A less than humble Vladimir Parkachev misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
