The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sonnen there as he acknowledges the shot.

Gonzales throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sonnen sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sonnen gets tackled into the cage by Gonzales. Gonzales maintains the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gonzales stuns Sonnen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sonnen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sonnen rushes Gonzales and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Gonzales is trying to push Sonnen away but Sonnen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

It looks like Julio Gonzales has been cut.

Sonnen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gonzales drops his hands for a split second and Sonnen immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gonzales face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Sonnen follows up with a right hand that knocks Gonzales into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
