The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka Jr looks to land a left hand but Machado moved out of range nicely.
Zsofka Jr throws a series of strikes that have Machado backpedaling.
Machado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zsofka Jr manages to avoid it.
Zsofka Jr catches Machado with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Machado slips under a jab from Zsofka Jr.
Zsofka Jr scores with a sloppy right hand. Machado should have avoided that one.
Zsofka Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Machado connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zsofka Jr scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Baldomir Zsofka Jr has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zsofka Jr shoots in and drives through. Machado sprawls well.

Zsofka Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

You can see the frustration on Machado's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Machado parries the strikes from Zsofka Jr easily there. Zsofka Jr is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Machado to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Machado can do anything to dispel that myth.

Machado manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Machado content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baldomir Zsofka Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machado takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zsofka Jr lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Zsofka Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Zsofka Jr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Machado doesn't seem phased though.

Zsofka Jr lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
