Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Han Solo!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornelius cracks a nice hook into Solo's ribs.
Solo shoots for a takedown but Cornelius saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cornelius looks to land a left hand but Solo moved out of range nicely.
Solo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Cornelius counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cornelius.
Kolo Cornelius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Han Solo.
Cornelius lands a body shot in the clinch.
Cornelius has a couple of punches blocked by Solo.
A right handed body shot lands from Cornelius.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Solo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Solo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Solo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cornelius is one step ahead there.

Cornelius lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cornelius takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Cornelius pushes Solo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Cornelius misses with a knee to the head.
Cornelius looking to throw knees to the head but Solo is blocking nicely.
A bit of stalling here from Cornelius.

Solo tries to pull guard but Cornelius forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Cornelius connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Han Solo has been cut.

Cornelius throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Solos head.
Solo is still on wobbly legs! Can Cornelius finish him?
Cornelius using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Solo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cornelius landing knees to the head.
Cornelius lands a left hand.
Solo takes a shot to the head.
Cornelius lands a big right hand that drops Solo! The killer instinct kicks in and Cornelius finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Cornelius!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kolo Cornelius!
Kolo Cornelius bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
