Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axe Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Axe Hammer!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer misses with a two punch combination.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammer tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hammer.

It looks like Tim Silva has been cut.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Hammer, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Hammer against the cage but Hammer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hammer feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Hammer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva tries for a takedown but Hammer circles away easily
and Hammer counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammer stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Silva tries for a takedown but Hammer circles away easily
and Hammer counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Silva badly! Hammer follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Silva out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Hammer finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Axe Hammer!
