Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bubba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Bubba!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bubba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bubba feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Bubba changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bubba is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bubba's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carter is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bubba has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Bubba's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Carter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bubba defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Bubba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Carter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bubba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carter is on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
