Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danico Conde!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason fails with the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mason is defended easily by Conde.
Nice sprawl there from Mason as Conde shoots in.
Mason throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Conde drives through and clinches with Mason against the cage.
Conde stalling in the clinch but Mason improves position.
Mason prevents the takedown attempt.
Mason stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Mason tries to pull guard but Conde holds him up against the cage and eventually Mason drops back down to his feet.

Conde moves in looking to clinch but Mason pushes him off.
Conde takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mason stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mason wants it to stay on the feet.
Mason changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conde tries to avoid it but Mason manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conde to the ground. Conde escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mason really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Conde tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mason paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Conde shoots in and drives through. Mason sprawls well.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mason.
Horrible takedown by Mason or perhaps it was just good defense by Conde which made him look bad.

Conde keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Conde keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mason gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Conde counters with a leg kick.
Conde stuffs the takedown.

Conde fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mason, pushing him back against the cage.
Conde is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mason is defending well.
Mason is trying to force a seperation but Conde has the dominant position.

Mason is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The crowd are getting on Conde's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mason is pressed up against the cage. Conde has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mason down to the mat. Mason avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Mason will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mason shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conde as he avoids it easily.
Conde doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.
Conde stuffs the takedown attempt from Mason. Mason gets slowly back to his feet.
Conde is looking to clinch but Mason is avoiding it.
Conde with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mason to score with a decent uppercut.
Mason tries for a takedown but Conde sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mason takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Mason shoots in for a takedown but Conde shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Danny Mason is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Conde clinches up with Mason and pushes him back against the cage.

Conde turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Conde manages to end up in side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Conde creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mason sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Conde tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mason avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Conde.

Conde decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Conde lands a head kick. Mason smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Conde slaps away a takedown attempt from Mason, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mason is trying to break free.
Mason tries to break free but Conde pushes him back against the cage.
Conde prevents a takedown attempt there.
A nice right hand lands inside from Conde.
Conde will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mason up against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conde is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mason is keeping busy.
Mason tries to pull guard but Conde forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Danico Conde showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mason's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

No joy there for Conde, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

I would just about give that final round to Danico Conde.
Well Conde has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
