The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Oon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cluzet prevents it.

Oon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cluzet.

Cluzet seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oon for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Omar Cluzet.
Oon doesn't manage to clinch there - Cluzet circles away.
Oon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cluzet as he jumps to the side.
Cluzet fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Oon manages to avoid it.

Cluzet feints and as Oon raises his hands in defense, Cluzet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cluzet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cluzet has Oon pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cluzet pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Oon tumbling to the mat - Cluzet dives into Oon's guard.
Oon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Oon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cluzet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cluzet not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
