Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coventry tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick lands from Coventry that sends Smit to the canvas. Smit tries to scramble back to his feet but Coventry brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Jan Smit has been cut.
Smit dodges the ground and pound from Coventry.
Coventry with the ground and pound but Smit regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Coventry wants to pass the guard but Smit is defending well.
Smit misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smit cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Coventry seems to have recovered his senses.

Smit lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Coventry bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coventry gets to his feet - Smit follows without any prompting.

Smit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coventry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coventry gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Coventry manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Smit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coventry will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jan Smit will probably get the nod.

Coventry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coventry fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jan Smit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coventry scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

and Coventry counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Smit gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Coventry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Smit avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smit shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Coventry's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jan Smit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Coventry.
Smit shoots in for a double leg but Coventry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Glen Coventry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
