The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyrkki uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Asikainen has time to react.
Nyrkki just misses with a punch to the body.
Asikainen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Asikainen drops his hands momentarily and Nyrkki takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A swing and a miss from Nyrkki.
Nice sprawl there from Nyrkki as Asikainen shoots in.
Nyrkki throws a lazy right hand but Asikainen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nyrkki scores with a decent looking hook.
Asikainen ducks under a wild hook from Nyrkki.
Nyrkki pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nyrkki. Asikainen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Asikainen slips a straight right by Nyrkki.
Asikainen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Asikainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Asikainen is looking for a kimura here.
Asikainen works his foot free and advances to mount.
Nyrkki is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Asikainen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Nyrkki is forced to tap!
