Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kuai Lai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joulu Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lai comes into the arena with CKY - Chinese Rap blaring out of the sound system. Kuai Lai has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lai gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pukki to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lai is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pukki is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pukki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pukki lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Pukki is looking to work some ground and pound but Lai has wrist control.
Pukki is pushing down on Lai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lai is fighting to maintain full guard but Pukki has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pukki on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joulu Pukki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Pukki gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pukki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lai walks away with a smile on his face. Pukki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pukki fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lai checks it well.
Lai throws a right hand that Pukki ducks under and follows up with a left that Pukki also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Lai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pukki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pukki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
