Menezes comes to the cage accompanied by Charlinho, o menino que só queria estudar - Hermes & Renato. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pushkar clinches.
Pushkar is trying to pull guard but Menezes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pushkar lands a shoulder strike.

Pushkar gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Pushkar trying to control the position from guard on top but Menezes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pushkar stays in close to Menezes's body and controls the position.
Pushkar won't allow Menezes to get back to his feet.
Pushkar throws an elbow that misses. Menezes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pushkar's guard. Nice move by Menezes!

Pushkar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Menezes is aware though and is defending well.

Pushkar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
