Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes to the cage accompanied by Ave Maria. Alves has chosen Trik Turner - Friends and Family as his entrance music. Freddy Alves has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Le counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Alves has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Le.
Alves tries to score a power double leg takedown but Le sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alves somewhat.
Le catches Alves with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Alves uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Le.
Le misses with a leg kick.
Alves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Le really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Alves crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Le - the referee stops the clock and Alves gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Le. Alves manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Le connects with a leg kick. Alves looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Alves has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Le.
Le is looking to slow Alves down with leg kicks.
Alves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Alves takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Le throws out a leg kick but Alves moves out of range and Le only half commits.

Le lunges at Alves with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alves's hand.
Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Le, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Le against the cage but Le circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Alves swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Le is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Alves throws a nice looking combination but Le bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Alves doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Le makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alves really felt that one!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Le is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor Le will probably get the nod.
