The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams with a poor takedown
and Spades counters with a one-two to the body.
Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spades tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Williams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Ace Spades has been cut.

Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spades.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Spades tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spades manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
