Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Crank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Let the bodies hit the floor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franklin Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arnold Crank!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Crank, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wilson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wilson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Crank drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wilson being controlled for a moment.
Crank wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilson keeps working.
The referee asks Crank politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Crank prefers to stall for the moment though.
Crank creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Crank wants to control but Wilson is keeping him busy.
Wilson is looking for a sweep.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
Wilson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Crank slips a nice elbow through Wilson's hands, connecting with Wilson's forehead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Crank wants to pass the guard but Wilson is keeping the position.

Wilson forces Crank back against the cage and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Wilson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Crank manages to pass to side control.
Wilson is looking to get back to full guard here but Crank has managed to pass to side control instead.
Crank lands a big shot there that rocks Wilson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Crank has hold of Wilson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wilson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Crank goes for an armbar but Wilson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wilson.

Wilson stands up from Crank's guard - Wilson perhaps looking for a knockout.

Crank shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilson but Wilson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Crank tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wilson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wilson manages to break the clinch.

Crank has managed to clinch.
Crank is trying to maintain a safe position but Wilson gets an underhook and turns Crank into the cage.

Wilson trying to control the position from guard on top but Crank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wilson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Crank is proving hard to escape from.

Crank has his hands on Wilson's head, controlling the position.

Wilson keeping busy on the bottom but Crank has passed one foot through into half guard.
Crank seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Crank is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Crank is nestled in close to Wilson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wilson wants to control but Crank passes into side.
Crank has knee on belly and moves into mount.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Crank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wilson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and Crank moves out of range easily.
Crank shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Crank's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Crank decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wilson's guard.
Crank is pushing down on Wilson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wilson is fighting to maintain full guard but Crank has managed to sneak the leg through.

Wilson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Crank is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wilson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Crank's back instead.

Wilson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Crank knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Crank for a finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wilson is looking for the choke from the back position but Crank is controlling his hands well.

You can see the frustration on Crank's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Crank has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Wilson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Crank has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wilson is not going to allow Crank to sit and survive in this position.
Wilson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Wilson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Crank knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Crank for a finish.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wilson is looking to control Crank's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Crank counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wilson!

Arnold Crank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crank has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
