The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilhelm connects with a nice looking jab.
Khalidovv misses with a takedown attempt
and Wilhelm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Khalidovv throws a head kick but Wilhelm moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khalidovv.

Wilhelm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Khalidovv to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Khalidovv changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilhelm tries to avoid it but Khalidovv manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilhelm to the ground. Wilhelm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Khalidovv throws a strike but Wilhelm rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mamed Khalidovv seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilhelm fails to land with a series of punches.
Wilhelm lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wilhelm scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Khalidovv doesn't seem bothered though.

Khalidovv tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wilhelm swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wilhelm fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khalidovv.
Wilhelm lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wilhelm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
