The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polunu looks to land a right hand but Sloan moved out of range.
Polunu lands a head kick!
Polunu throws a big shot that misses.
Polunu on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Polunu swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sloan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Polunu misses with a looping left.
Sloan looks to land a body kick but Polunu moved away.
Polunu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sloan stuffs the takedown.
Polunu misses with a leg kick.
Sloan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Polunu.
Polunu throws a shot from downtown. Sloan moves away and avoids it.
Sloan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Polunu.
A looping hook to the body misses from Polunu. Sloan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Polunu sizes up Sloan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Sloan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Polunu's sensitive parts.

Polunu avoids the head kick by Sloan.

Polunu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sloan is out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sloan.
Scot Sloan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloan slips a straight right by Polunu.
Sloan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Polunu on the side of the head.
Sloan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Polunu misses with a low kick.
Polunu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sloan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sloan tries to clinch up.
Sloan fakes the leg kick and cracks Polunu in the body.
Polunu checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sloan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Polunu blocks the body kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Polunu.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sloan darts in and clinches Polunu up against the cage.

Polunu lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Sloan to his knees! Polunu keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
