The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemp shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McNaughton counters by clinching up.
McNaughton breaks the clinch.
Hemp has his takedown stuffed
and McNaughton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McNaughton.
Hemp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McNaughton smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dezmond Hemp. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and McNaughton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
McNaughton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McNaughton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hemp swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hemp takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hemp gets tackled into the cage by McNaughton. McNaughton maintains the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McNaughton rushes Hemp and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hemp is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McNaughton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McNaughton has escaped and now he's on top!
McNaughton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hemp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McNaughton has managed to get both his arms back between Hemp's legs - danger averted.
