The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarzynski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Monchi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jarzynski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Monchi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Monchi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Monchi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Monchi connects with a nice short shot to Jarzynski's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Monchi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jarzynski's shoulder. That is not cool.

Monchi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jarzynski looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Monchi! Submission of the night perhaps?
