Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilbert doesn't manage to clinch there - Salcido circles away.
Gilbert throws a head kick that misses.
Gilbert looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gilbert tries to clinch but Salcido moves away
and Salcido counters with a left to the body.
Gilbert fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Salcido is out of range.
Gilbert walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Salcido checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Salcido misses with a two punch combination.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Salcido paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Salcido connects with a nice looking jab.
Gilbert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Salcido paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Salcido takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Salcido connects with a body shot that sends Gilbert's belly button to the back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gilbert scoring well with a low kick there.
Salcido darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Salcido keeps the fight on the outside.

Salcido lands a left and a right that send Gilbert crashing to the mat, dazed. Salcido thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Gil Gilbert has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A bone on bone clash there as Salcido blocks the leg kick.
Gilbert looks to clinch
and Salcido counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Salcido connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gilbert. Gilbert circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Salcido dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Salcido fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gilbert looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gilbert is breathing heavily.
Gilbert walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Salcido lands with a straight right. Gilbert didn't see that one coming.

Salcido lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gilbert at a distance.
Nick Salcido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Salcido.
Salcido throws a shot to the body.
Salcido lands with a nice body punch.
Salcido lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Salcido has cracked Gilbert with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Salcido lands another huge swinging hook and Gilbert tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Gilbert, before Salcido can land any more shots!
