Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozgur Fardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that John Mali has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Mali seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mali on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fardi misses with a head kick.
Mali shoots in but Fardi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fardi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mali doesn't seem bothered though.

Fardi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Fardi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mali is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fardi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mali is breathing heavily.

Fardi throws a right and a left that both miss.

It looks like John Mali has been cut.
Fardi tries to stand but Mali is controlling from the bottom.
Oh Mali is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fardi stands and steps away. Mali gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Mali seems to have got his legs back now.
Mali fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fardi misses with a few strikes there.

Fardi looks to land a combination but Mali avoids it well.

Mali feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mali stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fardi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mali controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mali really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fardi looking for a sweep. Not yet Fardi, not yet.
Fardi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mali controls the pace.
Fardi is trying to keep Mali in close.
Mali will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Mali just wasn't active enough.

Mali dives in and scores a takedown into Fardi's guard.

Fardi is working an open guard so Mali takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
