Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andreas Reinhardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Levi James!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reinhardt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Reinhardt working away.
Reinhardt lands a nice forearm strike.
Reinhardt cracks James with a big right hand but James just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
James sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
James won't allow Reinhardt to pass to mount.
Reinhardt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Reinhardt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. James tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reinhardt is in James's guard.

James throws a leg kick which misses Reinhardt's front leg but catches the back leg as Reinhardt tries to avoid it.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reinhardt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reinhardt checks a leg kick.

Reinhardt rushes James and presses him up against the cage.
James is looking to control Reinhardt's arms but Reinhardt gets an underhook and turns him. Now James has his back to the cage.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Reinhardt tests James's chin there with a solid looking shot.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reinhardt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
Reinhardt lands a right hook to the body.
Reinhardt thows a body shot but no joy.
Reinhardt throws a lazy uppercut
and James counters with a good, hard body kick but Reinhardt shrugs it off.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reinhardt.
A telegraphed right hand from Reinhardt misses the target.
James misses the jab.

James closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - James lands in his opponent's guard.
Reinhardt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reinhardt keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Levi James has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Reinhardt misses with a body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Reinhardt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Reinhardt swats away the attempt to clinch by James.

Reinhardt gets caught napping as James dives in and scores a takedown. Reinhardt manages to retain guard.

Reinhardt wants to stand but James is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Levi James.
Reinhardt connects with a right hand. James shakes it off.

Reinhardt clobbers James with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
James throws a body punch but Reinhardt moves out of range.
James needs to keep his hands up - Reinhardt had a free shot at his head there.
Reinhardt bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of James's head.
Reinhardt thuds his right hand into James's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
James throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

A close second round but Levi James will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


James connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Reinhardt's hands.
Reinhardt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and James counters with a thumping low kick.

Reinhardt looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
James is looking to clinch but Reinhardt is avoiding it.

James motions for Reinhardt to come forward. James throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

James throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Reinhardt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Reinhardt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
James drops down looking for an ankle pick but Reinhardt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Andreas Reinhardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James fakes the leg kick and cracks Reinhardt in the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reinhardt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from James.

James has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Reinhardt doesn't defend quickly enough and James has managed to lock this one up! Can Reinhardt escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to James on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Levi James!
