The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandford catches Johnson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Jeff Johnson has been cut.
Sandford lands a lovely overhand right.
Johnson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Sandford gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch.

Johnson breaks the clinch.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sandford circles away.
A head kick misses from Johnson.
Sandford swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sandford tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sandford tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Sandford throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Sandford swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sandford lands with a nice body punch.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Sandford looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Sandford clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
James Sandford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Johnson moves forwards but Sandford connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Sandford shows good takedown defense.

Sandford takes the fight into the clinch.
Sandford throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Johnsons head.
Sandford lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Johnson.

Johnson drops his hands momentarily and Sandford takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sandford tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.

Sandford lands a big right hand that sends Johnson crashing to the mat! Sandford stays standing though and waves Johnson back to his feet!

Johnson is rocked!
Sandford scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sandford flashes Johnson a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Johnson's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Johnson crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Sandford punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
